New Screenwriters Penned for Jurassic Park IV

Official word is spreading across the web today that Rick Jaffa and Amanda Silver have signed up as the new screenwriters for Spielberg’s fourth installment in the Jurassic Park series. As you may know, both Jaffa and Silver were the screenwriting duo behind the recent successful re-installment of the Planet of the Apes series. While this seems to signal a bit of a hiccup behind the production of the next iteration of the dinosaur series, considering that Mark Protosevich of I Am Legend was supposed to be writing the script, this will most likely be of benefit to both the film and its fans. Knowing that two capable writers are working with Spielberg offers a fair bit of reassurance that this JP will be of a higher caliber than the last two go-arounds – at least that’s what we hope.

The film currently has no release date, and has been pushed back continuously as Spielberg works on other projects, but we’ll keep you up to date as more news arrives.
